Can you mulch steep slopes and difficult terrain?
Yes. This is one of GRazer's core specialties. Remote-control and specialist machinery is designed for steep, rough and difficult-to-access terrain where conventional equipment cannot operate. Sites can be accessed with as little as 1.4 metres of entry width, and alternative access methods can be arranged where required.
The capability comes from the machines being remote-controlled. The operator stands on stable ground and works the machine on the face, which changes what is possible: there is no cab to roll, and no person on the slope to be injured if something moves. That is why work up to 55 degrees is feasible at all.
Access width is the other constraint people run into, and 1.4 metres is narrower than most expect. It means machines get down the side of a house, through a standard gateway, along a track between plantings, or into a gully mouth that would stop a tractor or a skid steer.
The sites this opens up are usually the ones that have been left for years precisely because there was no safe way in: harbour and gully faces, roadside batters, dam walls, stormwater basin sides, coastal escarpments, and the back face of a lifestyle block.
Where the standard approach will not work, alternative access can be arranged. It is worth photographing the route in as well as the vegetation when asking for an estimate, access is usually what determines whether a job is straightforward or not.
